South City Premier League-A Prayer Gone Wrong

Image
As I stepped on the field, my heart thumping faster than ever. I hope the prayer had worked because only God could save God's Own XI now. For the readers of my previous blog, My Experience In The SouthCity Premier League , you may know what SPL is but for those who don't know here is a short overview. SPL is my gated community's cricket tournament in an IPL like format with Auctions, Opening Ceremonies, Unboxing, Exciting Matches and most important of all lots and lots of food. The tournament is held for men and women. After our requests, SPL was back this year with a Boys Tournament and me and my friends got to be at the centre of the action. Firstly I would like to give a huge shoutout to all the organisers who spend their valuable time organising, planning and working on all the matches. The amazing thing about SPL is that even the youngest and the oldest people participate from Mantra to Vijaylakshmi Aunty.People participated as families. In some families, they were i...

The War Diaries

Aditya, India 1/3/2026 God,I look out of my window and I stare at the night sky. I think about how lucky I am to see the moon and not missiles and fighter jets. The darkness is peaceful. I lean back on the chair listening to the news from the hall TV. The reporters talk on and on endlessly about the number of people who have died in the Iran-US War, the number of missiles shot. I am grateful to live in a nation which encourages peace, a nation which does not engage in escalation, a nation which respects the value of human life.  Muhammad, Iran 1/3/2026 God,I look out of my window and I stare at the night sky. I can see the missiles hit buildings. My hands tremble and my body shivers. I live my childhood in fear of what's next. I can hear the painful screams of men, women and children. We struggle to get food or a livelihood because of the war. I live my life in sadness. I can only hope that the situation ever becomes better. The war has already done too much damage to our bea...

I WISH MY WALLS HAD EATEN ME (Hee..Hee...its a Clickbait)

Image
My heart was racing. My palms were sweaty. I ventured foward and stood in the middle, taking each and every step carefully to not be the prey of a pack of predators. Hundreds of eyes were gazing at me. My heart was at a highly unhealthy rate now. I felt my whole body shiver inside. My body felt heavier than it was. I felt like yelling and running away. Fear itself was at the verge of swallowing me as blood pumped faster through my veins. My fingers were fidgeting as I was handed the mic by the teacher. "The next contestant we want to call upon for vice-head boy is Siddharth.", the teacher announced. I took a deep breath in and began.  You might be wondering what I am currently talking about. Let me explain. Flashback  to a week ago . "All students interested to be part of the student council can sign up in the online form. The shortlisted candidates must appear for the interview next week.", our Coordinator announced. Exuberant as I was, I immediately signed up for ...

Delimitation Bill: A Case Study

Image
Delimitation Bill: A Case Study The delimitation bill has been the buzz on all Indian News Channels. The bill has now been withdrawn but let's understand what it is and explore the pros and cons of the bill. Delimitation is the process of fixing limits or boundaries used to allocate equal representation in state and national assemblies as per the population of the constituency. The bill aims to redraw Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies as per the 2011 census increasing the number of seats from 543 to 850. The opposition is questioning the use of 2011 census instead of the 2026 census. The bill also aims to include 1/3 reservation in assemblies for women in order to bring about equality of oppurtunity. The reserved seats for women will remain in rotation. The North vs South Influence Northern states gain significantly high representation due to population outburst. States like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar gain advantage. Southern states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra...

My Experience At LocoBear

Image
Is the hype worth it? Is it as good as everyone says? I wanted to go because everyone says it's amazing but Is it actually amazing or just another overhyped place? SO, I recently went to LocoBear in Bangalore and my experience was a blast. For those of you who don't know LocoBear, it is the ultimate entertainment zone. It has all kind of cool games, rides and experiences. So its kind of like a theme park but a really really cool one.First,I went to play Laser Tag for the first time and it was quite fun. It was a whole new adventure for me as a person who had never played it before. It felt like a military warground and I acted like my favourite actors from all the cool movies. I moved around like a spy only to get killed every time but I managed to take couple of the opponents down with me. There were 3 different rounds and each one was extremely fun. The course was double floored making the experience more memorable. The last round was an AK-47 rifle themed round which meant I...

Can A Formula 1 Team Cost Only 120 Rupees ?

Image
From 2006-2008 Honda Racing was part of Formula 1 but due to a financial crisis and not wanting to invest a lot in F1 Honda had to sell the team but they couldn't find a buyer before the 2009 season and if they couldn't sell the team by the time the season started, it would cause them to lose millions of rupees,So Honda requested their team principal Ross Brawn to handle the team. So they decided to give it to him for free but they had to show a legal transaction on paper so Ross Brawn took a 1 pound or 120 rupees coin from his pocket and bought the team. The interesting part is Honda had developed double diffuser engine which in aerodynamic testing seemed to be 2 seconds faster than every other car but not much notice of this was taken as it was deemed a calculation error but when the car hit the track during testing they were faster than every other car. The team was renamed Brawn GP and along with Jenson Button it went on to win the drivers and constructors championship tha...
