South City Premier League-A Prayer Gone Wrong

  As I stepped on the field, my heart thumping faster than ever. I hope the prayer had worked because only God could save God's Own XI now. For the readers of my previous blog, My Experience In The SouthCity Premier League , you may know what SPL is but for those who don't know here is a short overview. SPL is my gated community's cricket tournament in an IPL like format with Auctions, Opening Ceremonies, Unboxing, Exciting Matches and most important of all lots and lots of food.The tournament is held for men and women. After our requests, SPL was back this year with a Boys Tournament and me and my friends got to be at the centre of the action. Firstly I would like to give a huge shoutout to all the organisers who spend their valuable time organising, planning and working on all the matches. The War Diaries

 Aditya, India 1/3/2026 God,I look out of my window and I stare at the night sky. I think about how lucky I am to see the moon and not missiles and fighter jets. The darkness is peaceful. I lean back on the chair listening to the news from the hall TV. The reporters talk on and on endlessly about the number of people who have died in the Iran-US War, the number of missiles shot. My heart was racing. My palms were sweaty. I ventured foward and stood in the middle, taking each and every step carefully to not be the prey of a pack of predators. Hundreds of eyes were gazing at me. My heart was at a highly unhealthy rate now. I felt my whole body shiver inside. My body felt heavier than it was. I felt like yelling and running away. Fear itself was at the verge of swallowing me as blood pumped faster through my veins. My fingers were fidgeting as I was handed the mic by the teacher. "The next contestant we want to call upon for vice-head boy is Siddharth.", the teacher announced. I took a deep breath in and began.  You might be wondering what I am currently talking about.
