Book Review of 'The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street

The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street is a book by Karina Yan Glaser. It is five days before Christmas and the Landlord of the Vanderbeekers has not renewed their lease. The Vanderbeeker Kids have only five days to persuade their landlord the Beiderman to let them stay in their cosy and marvelous home. Will they be able to persuade him? Will he renew their rental agreement lease? Will Operation Beiderman succeed? Read the book to find out. This book was very light hearted and had humorous adventure. The connection between the children and their house is an unbreakable one and I could relate a lot as I can never imagine moving out of my beautiful little home. I loved the bond between the 5 siblings as I have similar bonds with my 4 other cousins. I also thoroughly enjoyed the way they treated the situation like an Intelligence Agency Operation as it made the book more exciting and put me at the edge of my seat. I also liked the way two of the siblings in the Vanderbeekers family fought...

The year is 2425 and is centuries after an asteroid collision struck the Earth. Meanwhile, In the present day, Thomas Reeve and his prodigy cousin Kylie Woollagong create the time tablet. Suddenly, it malfunctions when they are advertising it on television. A girl from the named Ocean Mooney falls into the present with her monkey when the timelines of the future and the present collide and Kylie and Thomas fall into the future. They do not find the future to be like they expected it to be. They have only 24 hours to get back and save the future of humanity as they are the only ones from the present who have learnt the horrible catastrophe that will fall upon Earth in the future.. I loved the book and I thought this was actually a very unique aspect to look at the future. Everyone thinks that the future will be modern but this novel explored the possibility of the future being the opposite of what everyone thinks it will be. It was also emotional as travelling through time made the bond...
