Things Found In A 12 Year Old's Room( A poem by me)

Things Found In A 12 Year Old’s Room A neat and tidily made bed A metal trash can full of pencil led A map of the world and a bulletin board A violin with which you can play any chord A wardrobe filled with clothes A window where the wind blows A spacious balcony with a scenic urban view  All you can see is a road full of traffic just on the brew A door opens the world of endless wisdom An athenaeum howling to be read next to an artificial viscum An old skateboard as aged as my grandfather lies in the loft A secret stash of candy under the cot sends fragrance to waft A  large mirror next to the table as reflective as water can be A strong pull out and behind a secret hiding place you can see Next to the bed lies a small portable basketball hoop For me to dunk and act like a celebrity from my favorite song on loop                            ...

My Birthday

Image
Which day do you think would be the worst day in the whole year to get sick? Of course you would say any day would be the worst day to get sick. But which one would be the worst day out of those worst days to be ill?  Hello and a warm welcome back to my blog. Today, I am going to be talking about my birthday.  My birthday was on the 13th of October. A week earlier, I had planned lots of celebrations for my birthday , that I would play badminton with my cousins, play board games, have ice cream, see a movie and play cards. I had even planned a pre-birthday celebration so I could enjoy the day before my birthday with my maternal grandparents, uncle and my great grand mother who we call BABY Patti which is a humorous irony as she is the oldest person in the family.  On the morning of 12th October, my pre-birthday celebration was on. First, my Mama and my Patti wanted to let me choose a cake. My mother told me to get a cheap one but my Mama and Patti said...

Book Review of A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz.

Image
Once upon a time. NO, NO, NO. Cut. Those are the most boring words ever. Let's try again. Long ago in history fairy tales WERE boring until the times of the Brothers Grimm and Adam Gidwitz who imagined fairy tales from a whole new aspect and made it better for all generations to read. Now imagine, who would want to read a boring old book about two random kids going inside a gingerbread house and boiling a witch who tried to kill them alive. But, would you not want to read a book about two kids whose heads were cut off by their own parents which is a thing that would never actually happen but seems cool. Now that's a story everyone would relish. Welcome Back to my blog and as you might have guessed from my Introduction this is the book review of "A Tale Dark & Grimm". A Tale Dark & Grimm is a book by Adam Gidwitz which reimagines the world of Fairy Tales especially the Kingdom of Grimm where Hansel and Gretel are born. The story starts with the grandfat...

Image
Welcome back to my blog. Today, I am feeling ecstatic because its my blog's First year anniversary. So I've currently posted 28 blogs, this is the 29th one and I am planning to post more blogs over the next year than I did in this year. I promise that I will post at least one blog a week .I loved the experience of writing my blog as I love reading and writing but the part which kept me going was the number of readers who read my blog. Whenever, I saw that people had visited my blog, no matter the number of them, let it be 2 or 40, it gave me an euphoric feeling which made me want to write more. So, I can honestly say that my writing has improved from documenting a blog and I would encourage everyone reading also to do so. I get overjoyed when I write book reviews in my blog as I write about all the books I read and it feels like I am conveying an emotion to others which was something I felt while reading the book myself. I also loved writing about my travels as I can write abou...

THAI CAVE RESCUE

Image
กู้ภัยถ้ำไทย(Thai Cave Rescue)-When the stake of the lives of thirteen brought the world together.  The Thai Cave Rescue was the onerous extraction of 12 boys and their soccer coach trapped in the Tham Luang Nang Non Cave in 2018. The boys and the coach were part of a soccer team called the Wild Boars. They went to the Tham Luang Nang Non cave and got trapped as they were not aware of the storm outside.  The cave system is 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) long and has many deep recesses, narrow passages and tunnels winding under hundreds of meters of limestone strata. The Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Thailand's Chiang Rai province was formed by groundwater erosion over a long period of time. The limestone was the main reason for the cave's flooding and it acts like a sponge. The boys went without food or clean water for 11 days until 2nd July 2018 when British divers John Volanthen and Rick Stanton found them 4 km into the cave.  The rescue effort involved as many as 10,000 people, ...
