WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK SERIES...
1) Andaman Adventure is a sensational book and it is my favourite Indian book. I loved how each and every place was described to its true nature and I can honestly say Deepak Dalal did justice to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.I'm extremely thankful that I read this book because it prompted my decision to suggest Andaman as a destination for our summer vacation.
2)I loved how Deepak Dalal had researched so much for this book and slipped in the information without letting us know with the flow of the story. You get to knew the facts but it didn't feel like you read the facts and that was really cool. He had given us so much information but the book never felt like an encyclopedia but a beautiful novel.Eg:The information about the valuabality of swiftlet bird's nests was written without me finding out I was reading some facts. I reseached more about the swiftlet nests after reading this book.
3) I thoroughly enjoyed the part where they scuba dive to escape from Patrick and his notorious gang. I kept thinking of what they did while they scuba dived while I was scuba diving. I could relate to the whole experience like on how they strapped their gear on, them seeing the stingrays. After reading them spot Dugongs, I was hoping a lot that I would spot one when I dived but my luck wasn't that great.
4) The communication between the Jarawa and Aditya and Chithra was very funny and you could literally imagine how the both sides acted out what they were trying to say due to the language barrier. When I went to Baratang and saw Jarawas, I was very tempted to try and communicate with them but I knew I would be jailed if I did. I was also tempted to jump from the car and try to find the creek but I didn't because it would be illegal.
5)I really wanted to go to Barren Island but I couldn't with my body but while reading the book my soul was transported to the Volcanic Island and I could see and feel everything there around me and that imagination was epic.
6)Now like the Baby in Baby's Day Out. I finished just one out of all the locations in the books. What Next? Sahayadri,Ranthambore,Ladakh or Lakshwadeep. No matter the destination, I am eagerly waiting for the next vacation.
FINAL THOUGHTS
If anyone is looking to read an adventure crime thriller mixed with humour, this book is the one for you. Anyone who hasn't read this book is really missing out. I also despise the fact that our Social and Science book writers are not writers like Deepak Dalal.
