Neev Literature Festival 2025

 Neev Literature Festival 2025

Wazzup My Fans, This year I'm back with another blog about my experience in NLF 2025 and I could say without doubt that this year's sessions were the best out of the 4 years I've attended the Neev Literature Festivals. I've been telling this every year but it just keeps getting better as it goes on. I haven't added much photos as my parents were so busy chit chatting like birds chirping they couldn't take photos of the world's most important person in Neev's beautifully designed backgrounds, me.

My saturday sessions started with a session by Savie Kernel. I had already read her book, the Nameless God and was more than excited to meet her. She told us all about her book , Laxmi Panda and I wanted to rush to the bookstore and grab a copy of the book because of her session and my previous reading experience with the nameless god. After the session, I got her autograph on my book

Next , I went to a session that made me say something I would have never said, Science is so fun. I attended a session by an American writer named Sam Kean. His session was probably the best and most fun science "class" I've ever attended. He talked about his books and told us some crazy facts. In ancient times aluminum was considered the most valuable and kings ate in aluminum cutlery while peasants in gold. He told us about how microbes in ancient times survived without oxygen and a bit about how a pair of conjoined twins with an attached head and brain were connected together, they felt the same pain, the same taste and I found this highly fascinating. It was so cool that they could do stuff like this but I'm sure it has its own problems and they lack freedom.

Next I attended a session which was my favourite throughout the whole weekend, a session by American author Pablo Cartaya. It turned out he hadn't read the session plan and hadn't prepared much but it looked like he was well prepared but imagine how amazing the session would have been if he had prepared. As he wasn't ready he did what he was supposed to be best at doing, storytelling and believe me he was. He is one of the most humorous person I've ever met. He told us stories about his grandmother and his friend's grandmother. Then he told us his 8th grade love failure story and it was so funny. The main thing he did was modulate his voice and express the humour through his actions and it was an amazing session.

Next I went to a session which gave me lots of valuable advice about writing, a session by British author Anthony McGowan. As usual the crowd was less for every session at that hour as it was the last masterclass of the day so only me and 5 other people were there. I felt very lucky as it meant that we got lots of advice and were able to interact with him and able to ask lots of questions to him. He taught us about how he wrote books and how to start off writing stories. He told us about from where he gets his ideas and gave us a little writing activity. His advice helped me a lot and answered questions that I had and I'm sure I'll be able to write stories with it.

The next day I was pretty disappointed due to the fact that except the last 2 masterclasses all the other sessions were 18+ and I couldn't go because though I talk like an adult I do not look like one. Well I went for the last two sessions anyway and there was an exciting session about how to write history books by Devika Ranganachari. Though I wanted to pick another session, How could I ? So I just got more hyped up for my other session by Pablo Cartaya again. After hearing from Devika Ranganachari about her new book I sat down in Pablo Cartaya's session and seeing from the number of people who had came I was pretty sure word of his previous session had spread. He was humorous again but this time he made us do an activity of picking sides and giving scenarios but in reality we were uknowingly going through his story. It was an amazing session and in the end the other students requested him to rap. He wasn't Eminem but he was pretty good. I left home but this time more than all years I took back wonderful memories and extremely amazing writing ideas. I hope my blogs about my experience motivates you guys to start going to the NLF every year as I get to meet new authors, read new books, have fun and I want you guys to experience that joy too.
